If you need to speak to a physician after clinic hours, please call (763) 581-5150. Our phones are answered at all times, and you will be referred to the on-call physician. In case of an emergency, call 911.

Insurance Verification

North Memorial Clinic accepts most major health care insurance plans and we will file your insurance claims for you. Please bring your insurance card each time you visit.

Marvin A. Brooks, MD

Marvin Brooks is a family physician with a special interest in cross-cultural medicine. He chairs a task force on cross-cultural diversity through the United Way and Hennepin County Medical Center. Dr. Brooks received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed a residency at North Memorial Medical Center. He is a professor at the University of Minnesota Medical School's Department of Family Practice. Dr. Brooks is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice. His professional memberships include the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians, Minnesota Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians and the Hennepin County Medical Society.
 

Daniel Feely, MD

Daniel Feely is a family physician with a special interest in sports medicine. A graduate of the University of St. Thomas, Dr. Feely received his medical degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed his residency at the University of Minnesota and North Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Feely is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice. His professional affiliations include the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians and Hennepin County Medical Center.
 

Benjamin Felty, DPM

Benjamin Felty, DPM, specializes in disorders and injuries of the foot and ankle. He attended the University of Minnesota –Duluth for his undergraduate degree. Dr. Felty completed his medical education at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago, IL and his did his surgical training at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI.
Dr. Felty is Board Qualified in foot surgery and rearfoot and ankle reconstruction. He enjoys treating common conditions such as heel pain, bunions, hammertoes, flat feet, and care of the diabetic patient, including wound care. He also treats injuries and fractures of the foot and ankle, including sports-related injuries and injuries associated with trauma.
Dr. Felty is a native of Minnesota and is an outdoor enthusiast. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and likes sports, camping, hiking, canoeing, biking, and boating.
 

Karen Fraley, DO

Karen Fraley is a family physician who enjoys caring for patients of all ages. Her special interests include women's health, wound care and pediatrics. A graduate of the University of Health Sciences , Kansas City, Missouri, Dr. Fraley also has a master's degree in medical microbiology. She completed her residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. Dr. Fraley is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association.
 

Donavon J. Hess, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Hess is a pediatric surgeon with University of Minnesota Physicians. He trained in general surgery at the University of Minnesota and in pediatric surgery at the Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo New York. He has been in practice since 2007, and has developed a busy practice primarily at the Amplatz Children's Hospital. Dr. Hess likes the broad range of pediatric surgery and particular clinical interests in esophageal atresia, pediatric thoracic surgery, and pediatric trauma.
Dr. Hess will be seeing pediatric surgery patients in clinic at the North Memorial Clinic in Golden Valley, and performing pediatric surgical procedures at North Memorial Medical Center.
 

Grace Peterson, MD

Grace Peterson joined the staff of Golden Valley Physicians in 2003. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Medicine in Duluth, and did her residency at St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul. She is certified by the American Board of Family Practice.
 

Michael Renier, DO

Michael Renier is an osteopathic physician with a special interest in obstetrics. A graduate of the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Dr. Renier received his medical degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. He completed his internship in family practice at New Berlin Memorial Osteopathic Hospital , and a family practice residency at North Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Renier is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice and the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners. He is a member of the Minnesota Osteopathic Medical Society and the Hennepin County Medical Society.
 

Doris Tran-Stoebe, MD

Doris Tran-Stoebe is a family physician with special interests in obstetrics. A graduate of Rush Medical College, Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Tran-Stoebe completed her residency at the University of Minnesota. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice. Her professional affiliations include the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians.
 

Parin A. Winter, MD

Parin Winter provides acupuncture services at the Golden Valley Clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. She uses acupuncture to treat many conditions including: pain and headaches, insomnia, asthma, arthritis, menopause, gastrointestinal conditions, smoking cessation, fibromyalgia and other health conditions. Dr. Winter is board certified in Internal Medicine with a Fellowship in Acupuncture. She practiced internal medicine in the Twin Cities for 30 years before studying acupuncture and beginning her new practice. Many insurance plans cover at least part of acupuncture. Appointments with Dr. Winter may be scheduled by calling (763) 520-2210.

Wound Care Clinic


North Memorial Clinic-Golden Valley now offers a Wound Care Clinic.

Wound Care services are provided by Karen Fraley, D.O., who has unique qualifications to assess and manage chronic wounds. In addition to being a family practitioner for more than 10 years, Dr. Fraley has a Master's Degree in Medical Microbiology. She received wound care training under the guidance of a local vascular surgeon.

Dr. Fraley provides wound care and outpatient surgical management of chronic wounds with a focus on identification and treatment of underlying causes.

The Wound Care Clinic provides care for patients with chronic wounds resulting from vascular insufficiency, complications of diabetes mellitus, pressure ulcers and other causes.

Dr. Fraley assists with coordination of support services including home care, physical therapy, and occupational therapy to facilitate care of patients who suffer from chronic wounds.
